So I use iOS and i know a bunch of content is sometimes SD even if you own in HDX due to some weirdo restrictions on the Vudu app for iOS. But what I wanted to check is if you download a movie to your device is it the same restriction or does it vary.
IE. If it streams on in SD does that mean download is SD or can it be HDX? If it streams in HDX will it for sure download in HDX or can they swap that to SD? I ask because for example I have both Netflix and Amazon Prime video and when I download videos there I see this constantly where the video will stream in full HD but when I download it just makes its SD or 480p without even giving me an option. Wanted to check if rules are same. Also curious why for the same title on iTunes they don't have these weirdo SD rules but they do for Vudu. Hell sometimes even other UV apps like Flixster and FandangoNow will stream and download the same movie in HD but Vudu can't for some reason. Thanks for any help! |
