Hello,
I bought a 78" Samsung TV a few months ago and have a problem. It has been professionally calibrated and it still happens regardless. Basically when there is a person in a dark room, moving fast, lets say "shaking their head", the black from the mouth and nose nostrils of the person rub in with the skin color of the persons face and creates a "RED Blurring Smearing Effect", for a split second or two on the persons face where the black was from the mouth or nostrils. I have changed the settings a million times in almost every way I don't know how to fix it. Any help or ideas? ![]() |

That's odd... never seen that type of effect but my initial reaction would be to alter the 'Auto Motion Plus'. Try the few different pre-sets (off, manual adjustments etc). If you only see it on one source, like broadcast TV for example but not on BluRay or Netflix 4K, the problem could be the cable box. I've seen those things do insane glitching on bright lights or darker scenes.
If you see it on all BluRay titles, check the settings in the player. What this comes down to, is isolating the source... trial and error. If you're seeing it on all sources, I'd go back to the motion adjustment. One thing at a time... source, settings etc. Maybe you have a defective panel but This would be a first for me with Samsung. If the video source is passing through your Marantz receiver, try bypassing the receiver... go direct and see what happens. |
