Default Is there anyway to preview a video before purchasing?

I'm worried if 2.35:1 movies has been cropped to 1.85/1.78:1. The specs don't list aspect ratio. So how do I tell if I am purchasing a good version of the movie?

  1. Rent it
  2. Borrow it from a Neighbor / Friend
  3. Google Search it

Sorry wasn't asking to preview how good a movie is, but whether the digital version has been bastardized like cropping the aspect ratio.

I guess maybe I can complain and get a refund from Amazon.

The previous poster gave the choices, only difference between a rental and purchase is the purchase may have extras.

And 99% are OAR, some aren't but you have to rent to find out or use Google.

Yes Amazon customer service is really good in that regard. The film being in the wrong aspect ratio is a valid reason to ask for a refund, although I doubt there are many in the wrong aspect ratio to begin with.
