were you able to recreate the issues and if so, were they at the same point in the movie? if not, then I'm saying the player. you should always take the disc out, place it back in then go to that spot and see if it happens again.

also, try some other discs as well, something not from the same studio.

If you don't have any disc cleaning solution, trying cleaning the discs with tap water. Don't soak it, just apply a dab or two on the discs and clean it, and see if it'll help. That may be able to remove the fingerprint as well because, a dry microfiber cloth won't get it off.
