![]() ![]() I've been debating whether or not to buy the Radiance Films release of Il posto + I fidanzati, mostly because of the fact I'm not a huge fan of the latter and, as much as I like Il Posto (plus how magnificent the restoration is), I'm not overly enthusiastic about the idea of paying additional money for a film I do not love, even within a reasonably-priced bundle. What are the chances of an individual release of the film? Perhaps a DVD->BD upgrade by Criterion? Though I'm not sure what the fact the RF Blu-ray is Region Free (according to their site--not sure why the pages for both films on this site state otherwise) means for that prospect. There IS a page for an US release of the film here, but I cannot find any information about such an upcoming release anywhere, and it's not like that means it would be an individual one, anyway. Radiance Films may not necessarily release a Regular Edition after the 3000 copies-limited LE is gone, either, so there is a possibility of missing out on owning the film on Blu-ray. Hopefully if there is a release coming somewhere down the line it doesn't take too long for news to surface. |
