Whatever happen to that film about vampires & humans joining forces against zombies?

I remember almost 10 years ago hearing that Hollywood was going to adapt this story, based on a graphic novel, about vampires are forced to team up with humans in order to keep them alive to feed off of and not go extinct during a zombie apocalypse.

I forgot the name of the graphic novel, though. Does anyone know what I'm talking about.
