I rewatched Cold Creek Manor last night & I noticed The Intruder has the same plot down to a tee. Dennis Quaid coincidentally changes roles.

Dances With Wolves, Avatar, Ferngully...I’m sure there are others. But yeah, outsider befriends locals, becomes one of them, fights against his original team.

A brunette ~alternative girl arrives at a new school and auditions for a group of people that go on competitions. Both Universal movies, both are comedies with funny diverse mostly female characters and a fun "audition" scene.

Jurassic Park III/Kong: Skull Island. Different set up but story has many of the same beats. Crash on a island full of danger, have to travel to other side to escape. encounter a castaway, travel part way by river, face off with big bad creature at the end.

Sssssss/Curse of the Puppet Master. Same movie, switch snakes with puppets.
