Awesome! I loved MADtv, especially the early seasons. It premiered right around the time SNL was getting boring to me, so it was a great replacement. Some of my favorite performers were Phil LaMarr, Michael McDonald, Nicole Sullivan, Will Sasso, Aries Spears and Debra Wilson.
And I wonder if we can expect to see Steven Seagal. ![]() ![]() |

Jan 19th, cool. I have to mark the calendar for that day so I don't forget to watch it.
Favorites: ![]() Alex Borstein - Swan lady Mo Collins - quirky, picky lady with the cough/vocal noise examines everything a hundred times. And Stuart's mother. Keegan-Michael Key -Coach skit is hilarious Michael McDonald - The guy with the perm and sweater, Stuart the big kid Will Sasso - De Niro, Arnold, Segal, Soprano, plenty more Aries Spears - lots of funny characters Nicole Sullivan - criticizing NY lady skit Debra Wilson - crazy Oprah Ike Barinholtz - funny skits Phil LaMarr - fast UPS worker I really want the older episodes on DVD as a set. I have the first 2 or 3 seasons, but most don't have the developed characters as often as the later seasons. Mad TV was one of the funniest shows IMO when the above cast was present in each episode doing their funniest skits. |

So... it's weird this is on the CW, right? Wonder why FOX isn't doing this?
Would CBS ever run an SNL special reunion? It's crazy! For those wondering... I get that Time Warner/DC owns MAD Magazine... so I get why Warner TV is involved in a reunion... but it's weird that FOX wouldn't want to air this instead of the CW. |

January 12th, 2015. Wish it was two hours, but maybe if this gets enough viewers, they'll consider a series again. They would need new characters along with the classic ones. The Stuart skit, as hilarious as it is with MacDonald and Collins, is pretty much the same routine each time, with Stuart saying "Look what I can do!" And then kicking everybody.

Either Warner didn't shop this to FOX at all, in which case shame on them... OR FOX was given a chance and declined, in which case shame on FOX. I'd be curious to know how it happened. |

I missed the first 45 minutes, forgetting it was on CW right now. Tuned in and it's mostly the best of clips, which are funny. The actor appears to host, but it's not new material in the few minutes I saw, so I don't feel too bad having missed it. Will hopefully get to see it re aired online.
The John Madden butter popcorn skit where he's trying to get the machine to work is funny. |

I agree, I was hoping for original content from the cast for the whole hour, not a best of show, but still a nice summary of what made the show great, at least for the last 15 minutes I got to see. |

Yeah this was dissapointing. I was also counting on new skits with the usual characters we all love to see. Bon Qui Qui was not even a regular MADtv character she was only made famous because of that character she played. She is actually well known for being a standup comedian. I think they did that at the end intentionally as in reality they were all fan favorities.
