Need for Speed Rivals moved up to be LAUNCH title now

The wait for a next-gen games is getting unbearable! And our team at Ghost Games has been pushing themselves to be a part of PlayStation’s big launch day. We’re excited to announce today that Need for Speed Rivals will be a launch title for PS4 in North America on November 15th.

We’re stoked to be the first racing game on PS4, and believe we’re setting a new bar for driving gameplay and visuals. PS4, coupled with the Frostbite 3 engine, will give players unparalleled next-gen gaming — epic locations and vistas, stunning time of day and weather changes, and super high fidelity cars. With Rivals, we’re introducing AllDrive, a new feature which allows players to choose seamlessly between single player, co-op, or multiplayer, and a completely new way for you to play Need for Speed.

Good I can get a week in with it before Forza 5 takes my racing attention away

EA posting on the PS Blog, pushing up a game to not wait for the Xbone, better resolution and stuff in BF4 (And one would assume this since it uses Frostbite)............ guess the Microsoft honeymoon is over.

Lots of date changes according to my Amazon orders.

Game & Accessories

Problem is it's creating bugs with PS4 orders on Amazon. Ala Game orders do not show up as "You have already purchased this item" under game details.

BF4 & Call of duty

Others bumped up NFS on the 12th & another title I can't think of.

AC4 is shipping now..

Hope those shooters get straightened out.

As for accessories, Nyko may not make it for PS4 launch.

PS4 system looks to be shipped on 12th.

Either or, the PS4 is just around the corner & I already made a hole.

I guess check me as disappointed as well.. Im playing thru Hot persuit on ps3 at the moment... And to be honest, other than some moving bushes, and trees, and the neat rain and lightning... I see no difference...

May pick this up instead of CoD or BF4 as my free game from Target now.

Do you need online to play this game? I won't be getting PS+ right away and was wondering if you can still play this game offline.

If like all other NFS, yes no need for online.

I love Hot Pursuit game, hated Most Wanted. This looks more in line with um.. Fun.

It can be played offline but Ghost have admitted the online plays a very crucial role in how the game is meant to be experienced so they urge people to play online. Pretty sure the PS4 has a 14 day trial for PS+ and if you are planning to get Killzone that has 7 days. So even if you don't pay for PS+ right away you could get 21 days out of it.

Your PS4 comes with a 14 day trial of PS+.Then when that expires it will be just in time for the Black Friday deal at Gamestop or Amazon of PS+ 1 year subscription for $29.99.

I pre-ordered the Limited Edition from Amazon ages ago for £38.99 which was a nice touch.

Can't wait for this - I loved Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted so much I got the Plat for both. Gonna make this the treble.

Are you picking this up on launch day? Do you consider this a day 1 purchase or wait? Do you think this game sells well for PS4? How are the previews coming in for this game?

I'm waiting a bit... these games seem to drop in price quickly and it doesn't seem to vary much from the last.

Very little is being said about this game.

From the released videos, it is safe to say that the Rival's map is a mixture of Hot Pursuit's and Most Wanted's maps with added features for next-gen.
