Dariusburst Chronicle Saviors sells out in 90 seconds

I got the email alert so as soon as it was 10:00 I put one in the cart and bought it. Once I reloaded the page just barely after 10:01 it was sold out.

I don't how Limited Run Games works these deals out, but there's no need to restrict physical copies like that! Makes me wonder if they moonlight as ebay scalpers.

Well, when the game arrives I'll return to this thread to talk about it. It's a flying shooter, which I generally like even if not all that great at playing them.

That sucks. This is why I'm afraid I won't get Night Trap from them. They say they're printing 6000 which they say is more than they usually do but I'm not sure by how much. Guaranteed I'll get the alert at work.

Should probably point out that it's been available digitally for quite awhile.

I loved Darius Twin on the SNES, but I'm not buying a space shooter for $60.

Whats the point of doing a small run in games? Isn't the point of the company to make profit by selling as many as possible? Unless they're trying to learn from Nintendo.

When you assume all the risk on manufacturing media you can lose a ton of money if you have product sit. This is a VERY small company. 4 people at this point from last I heard. By making lower print runs you pretty much guarantee selling out and making a predetermined profit. Nintendo has been doing it for years despite how much people hate them for it.
