Cool "4K collection" listed in forum profile?

Someone's going to ask it at some point, so it might as well be me.

Can we add "4K collection" to the listing in our forum profile?

You can go ahead and remove "DVD collection" if you need the space...Not sure why Timezone needs to be there either.

After all, this is blu-ray.com, right?!

I still catalog my DVD collection here so you don't speak for me about removing that bit. Thanks though

Adding 4K sounds good though!

Understood.

Seriously though, why does a site like blu-ray.com have "UV collection" listed in profiles, but not "4K collection" which is an actual BD disc format?!

Seriously, like totally serious...

PS: The "Timezone" thing still drives me nuts...WTF cares?!?!

I don't see time zone on my browser view--maybe a site setting?

Perhaps. It is random...

IIRC the collection counts on forum post sidebar would be this "Collection privacy" setting... or that user doesn't have any collection at all? ;/
but I can't find anything to indicate why you see Timezone GMT and I don't.

Just taking some guesses-- what are your time zone settings in user CP?

UHD BD numbers are currently included in the BD numbers probably because UHD BD (Profile 6) is considered an extension of the original BD format and not a completely different format.

It seems to be independent to each thread or section and is most likely set by the admin or staff.

And yet 4K (UHD) has its own section in various places on this site. But then, it's also merged with the various Blu-ray sections.

To be perfectly honest, as someone sticking to Blu-ray, this irks me. Things like having the UHD reviews mixed in with regular Blu-rays under the "Blu-ray" tab, while 4K/UHD also has its own tab. Or UHD talk dominating the Blu-ray threads on the board while the format also has its own sub-forum with threads dedicated to the UHD releases.

Either UHD is an extension of BD or its not.

I know, I know... first world problems and all, but I do wish it would be one or the other.

Wow, so this went many places...

Can we just find a way to list 4K (or "UHD") titles in our profile listings?

These books, you mean?

Mayhaps I will. It's almost time for my yearly reread.

Why ............................... ?

3D Blu-rays don't have their sub-category *

*
[Show spoiler]Not that I own any of those disks

I firmly believe ..................... DVD's still need to be listed as they have the largest library of titles and people like myself like to keep track of them here on this site

True ............................. That's why they're included with the rest of the blu-rays

I'd be more in favor of listing both 3D and 4K separately in the profiles over DVD. The fact that DVD (currently) has the largest library available shouldn't mean it belongs in blu-ray.com profiles.
