Default Amazon's "The Tick" (Season 2)

Didn't see this coming.

Rumors started up yesterday, with People claiming to have a source, that Amazon is looking to revive the 2001 live-action Tick series (which was axed after only nine episodes), starring Patrick Warburton (Family Guy, Seinfeld) - who People's source claims has signed a new deal with Amazon and Sony to reprise the role of the blue-suited lunkheaded hero.

The Tick would be brought back as a test pilot which, per Amazon's current model for greenlighting new shows, would be judged by Amazon customers. Amazon's latest round of pilots - from the likes of Whit Stillman, Steven Soderbergh and David Gordon Green, Jay Chandrasekhar, Marc Forster - can be found here.

The Tick, both the animated and live-action series, were based on the 80s comic book by Ben Edlund, who's since moved on to be a writer/producer on Firefly, Angel, and Supernatural.
