The total amount of votes/highest ranking was used as a tiebreaker, with total amount of votes taking precedence of the two if need be.

Here are a few little tidbits regarding the upcoming Top 25 results:
  • The Top 25 contain films spanning from 1962 - 2013.
  • The Top 25 contain eight films that won the Academy Award for Best Picture, and another nine films that were nominated for Best Picture.
  • The fewest amount of votes any film in the Top 25 received is 4, and the two films that did are sequels. The highest amount of votes any film received is 16, and this film did not claim the top spot.
  • Out of the Top 5, three films received three #1 votes each, and all five films received at least one #1 vote.
  • Thirteen films in the Top 25 received at least one #1 vote .
  • The events in which the films in the Top 25 are based on happen in time periods ranging from AD 180 - 1993.
  • The Top 3 films have at least 50 or more points than any other film in the Top 25.
