So many Jackie Chan films deserving of restorations / re-scans.. all we end up getting is upscales

If I've read correctly, the Japanese Blu-ray features the Japanese theatrical cut in true HD. No English subs, but at least it doesn't have the "sidetitles" burnt in like the Japanese cut of Police Story.

Well, what I wonder is if this Kam & Ronson release will have the deleted scenes. They are not ones for extras but it seems like ever since the old Fox dvd release, those 2 deleted scenes are thrown in. That would be sad if they are not included.

And, what is up lately with the onslaught of JC releases by K&R? Armour of God has not even gotten to my door yet and they are ready to release another one. It seems that they have been really slow with these releases then suddenly - Young Master, Lucky Stars series, Dragon Lord, Fearless Hyena, Crime Story, The Protector, Armour of God and now Heart of Dragon. Its either feast or famine. Not that I am complaining; it would be nice to have them all come out. I`m just waiting for Snake In the Eagle`s Shadow. But, where are all the other GH catalog movies?

Got mine a few days ago. No deleted fight scenes included. only a pair of interviews with Jackie and Sammo (in English) that look like they were filmed a decade ago. As expected, the transfer is an upscale. HOD is one of very few JC films I never owned on DVD so Im glad to have it on disc.

I read somewhere on this board (cant find it right now) that the German blu is the best Version worldwide.
It supposedly has the Extended Japanese cut in True HD with the original HK Soundtrack. The Japanese blu only has the modified Japanese Soundtrack. Can someone comment? Thanks!

Extended Japanese cut in HD: yes
HK Cantonese Mono: yes, except the end credits which are way longer than Cantonese Mono so that one has the Japanese Jackie Song. (yes, the fight scenes have the original Cantonese Audio too and not the Japanese Music)
