Default Recommandation for great educational shows for kids?

Do you have any shows you would recommend for kids of age 4 and +?

Bluey is the best thing on tv for kids and adults to enjoy. It’s funny and great in teaching about playing fair, entertaining yourself/others, nothing always goes your way, adults on connecting with their kids to play and more. Not traditional education lessons but things sorely missing in society today

No idea about today, but definitely PBS back in the day. Loved the afternoon lineup of Bill Nye, Carmen Sandiego, etc.

Unfortunately I dont think modern tv caters to that type of programming these days.

Sesame Street has attempted to keep up w/ the times but the parents I know say their kids quickly grow out of SS way faster than the kids of the 70s/80's.

And anything "vintage" as classic as it is might not connect the same these days.

I gave my lady-friend School House Rock DVD and she played it for her kids alot, and when she asked them if they remembered it from when they saw it at age 5-7 they had the smallest recollection of the material. They are now 10 years old.

But just to add to the "vinatge" educational material that I would attempt to show kids would be.......

Theres an album that I listened to in Nursery School and there a LIVE interpretation that you can find on YouTube.

It might be dated if you dont have a connection as a viewer and are trying to feed it to children.

Just wonder what's "more engaging".

Is learning the ABCs through song, or Pronouns through jingles less than?

Is Reading Rainbow's format less than? Carmen Sandiego?

It doesn't sound like you're talking about some iPad video game button pushing content.

Martin Short is great as The Cat.

We like the puns.

Tones of videos on YouTube, but we have the DVD sets.
