Interesting that on a rare occasion when a studio uses the original poster for cover art, it's one of the more suggestive posters. I suppose they figured they could ship a few more units by reminding us of one of the main reasons why we all saw this movie to begin with.

I noticed this doesn't have any release date attatched to it on Amazon, at the moment. But they did put (2014) after the title--not a good sign...

I'm anticipating a big fight to see who gets to use this cover art as an avatar image.

The 1946 version is on my short list of Blu-rays to buy at a later date. I've been wanting to upgrade my old DVD for a while.

This has been on my Amazon.ca wishlist for a while now, they now have it as January 14th. Hopefully one of them is correct, this seems to have joined the King of Comedy in some kind of purgatory.

Jan. 21 is currently the date listed at Warner (which is no guarantee against further postponements). But sometimes Canada gets Warner releases early; so Jan. 14 could also be correct at Amazon.ca.

Maybe there is some stigma attached to films released in the early 1980's by New Hollywood auteurs.

I just checked for this over at wbshop, and it's nowhere to be found. They've got Tequila Sunrise, Get Carter, Exit Wounds, and Boiler Room up for pre-order (ie all the movies they announced in the last week or so), but not this one. Hmmm....I'm gonna take a wild guess, and say this ain't coming out in January.

Amazon France has it listed as in stock today for 15 euros + shipping. The BD is listed as region free.

I have never seen it listed at wbshop.com since it was first discussed several months ago. All new WB pre-orders are listed on wbshop.com, but the 1981 Postman never has. I'm guessing if it is released this month, it will be a WAC BD, not a WHV BD.
