So with the new transfer will we receive a lossless 5.1/7.1 audio track or a 2.0 audio mix like quite a few of the titles that Shout! has re-released?

The Shadow had a DTS mix in theatres so expect a 5.1 track.

Then what's the point of Shout wanting this title? It's a great movie, but the Universal BR release of this was god awful. I could see them doing a collector's edition if there was a new transfer being done, but unless this was one of Shout's cheaper releases (13 bucks or under at release), I personally could not justify buying this even with the added extras.

January the 21st? Preordering movies over 3 months in advance before the release date is kinda silly, because you're going to have to wait anyway! so why not preorder the movie in December, or the first week of January. I doubt very much, if the price will be reduced because it's a Shout Factory release.

But you wont have to remember to do it later, now. Just set up the pre-order on one of your regular credit cards and if the price drop happens, hooray. If not, you're still on and can just forget about it until that shipping notification comes from Amazon to tell you it's coming.

This is Shout Factory. If they have a price drop on The Shadow, it would be a miracle. Most of their popular titles that were released recently, are still $20.00 or more.

Yeah, that's really a long-g-g ways off. I'd have to hold out until at least some info surfaces.
