Question for the collectors here: do you guys leave the VuDu, Digital Code enclosed and other stickers put on slipcovers by the manufacturers because you consider them part of the product, or do you remove them to uncover more of the artwork?

Stickers that have to do with the movie itself stay, stickers that talk about Ultra violet, digital copies, or are just plain ugly come off. For Criterion/Arrow releases (and occasionally other company's) that include Director approved signature stickers on the cellophane, I will actually try to peel those off and stick them on the case however.

I leave all stickers on the slipcover...
Then I throw the slipcover in the garbage. Last edited by Mike1981; 04-29-2017 at 08:00 PM. |

I take the stickers off the slipcover about 95% of the time. They usually get in the way of the art, like for instance the sticker on Wall-E covered the plant which was the driving force of the movie. Rare or not, it had to go.
A few I've left on would be the comic balloon on Deadpool, the big X sticker on Days of Future Past Rogue Cut, and the Newsman sticker on Muppets Most Wanted, because they fit in with the theme or in Newsman's case had a character on it. |
