Default Netflix and Rush Hour 3

I added Rush Hour 3 to my queue and they only have it on DVD... I know this is a Blu movie, wtf? Anybody else notice this?

Yes!!

I did some checking and there are several titles available on BR not carried on Netflix. Off the top of my head..... "Shoot Em Up" is another new release of note that is missing. For the most part, Netflix does a pretty good job stocking BR titles, but their selection isn't complete.

The same can be said for their HD-DVD selection too.

I've ran into the same thing. I purposely signed up for Netflix just to avoid making so many purchases and out of the 17 Blu-ray movies on my list only 4 are available! Everything else says "Short Wait" or "Long Wait" and as you and I have noticed, they don't even have all the new releases. Needless to say I'm pretty pissed at Netflix and will be cancelling after this month.

Yes, the wait lists are a little annoying. I've learned that by keeping my queue empty of extra titles, I get more of what I want quicker. The only titles I keep in my queue are wait list items and future new releases. (everything else is kept in a separate Word-doc) On a week to week basis, Netflix will ship 1-2 from that list and then I'll add something else from my word doc so I'll have new 3 BR titles to watch each and every weekend.

This week is a good example. I had the new Resident evil and War in my queue for the Jan 1 releases. War shipped and Resident evil was put on a short wait. The only other titles in my queue were ALL wait list items, and one of those was pushed off the wait list and shipped. I basically got two out of three for this week which isn't too bad. For my third movie this week....I simply grabbed something not on any wait list. (my word doc is filled with 50+ BR titles I haven't seen in a long time that I would like to watch again)

For the week of January 8 releases, I have 3:10 to Yuma and Sunshine waiting. I'll probably get one of those, and maybe one off the wait list (hopefully resident evil ). Once they're processing for shipment, I'll dump in a third.

I think as time passes the wait times will decrease. While it's true the system is far from perfect........it's still the best/cheapest way to rent. Your only other real option is to buy everything you watch (which will get VERY expensive) , or pay $4.70 per rental from a Blockbuster Store. I checked the Blockbuster online service, and they have the same wait issues.
