Where have you read that it's been cut?

I skimmed through the amazon uk reviews and I didn't see anyone mentioning the US version being cut. I haven't heard anything about a different cut so it should be the same as other regions.

edit: you edited your post to add this, right when I posted

Amazon (USA) has the American Mary BD listed with a run time of 95 mins, which would mean it was cut by 8 mins (if the Amazon listing is to be trusted, and it's not).

Amazon also has the studio listed as "Anderson Merchandise", even though it's definitely being released by XLrator/Arc Entertainment. For the record, I'm sure the US BD will be fully uncut.

I imported this a few weeks ago based on the hype (and a love of Katherine Isabelle). The filmmaking was actually quite good and Isabelle was her best since Ginger Snaps. However, the interesting setup never reached its potential. I think it was a decent effort overall and I am going to definitely keep my eyes open for future films from "The Twisted Twins".

Also, I like the UK cover a lot more.

I was like this with their first film "Dead Hooker In A Trunk." I really didn't like that movie, but thought it had potential so I'm looking forward to this one.

I got mixed reviews at first, but the more I see people watching it the more negative they get.

I've heard mostly good things about it, so I'm going to try and see it in theatres during its limited release.

I just pre-ordered it. It's currently $12.99 on Amazon. I thought it was quite good. One of the better horror movies to be released in the last few years. The Soska Sisters are pretty talented. If you haven't already, check out Dead Hooker in a Trunk, their first film. It's awesome.

I also imported this movie from the U.K. In my opinion, it's no Ginger Snaps (which really needs a Blu-ray release - the U.S. DVD isn't even widescreen), but it's decent. Katherine Isabelle is very good, but ultimately it fails to live up to its full potential.

You should pick up the Canadian DVD release. It's widescreen and worth every penny until a blu comes along.

Be aware that it's OOP though.

Any confirmation yet anywhere about the US release being cut? With the runtime differences I'm resisting preordering. Hopefully it's just a placeholder runtime everyone is using.

This came up again in conversation. I am still curious about this as well.

I was browsing another site recently and noticed they had the 103 minute run time listed on their preorder page. http://www.blowitoutahere.com/americ...y/037117070237

I also received a response back from Sylvia Soska who stated she keeps seeing the short run time listed as well and thinks it's probably incorrect information. She did state the UK and Australian releases were fully uncut.

American Mary Blu-ray review

I wasn't aware of the question about the running time, or I would have posted this information sooner: The U.S. Blu-ray is 1:42:41, which rounds up to 103 minutes.
