Before you shoot me....

Has anyone checked out the Drive-In Classics app on Apple TV or Roku?

They have 35 movies in anaglyphic 3D, lots of "non-official" versions, but, hey, sometimes I'm not too finicky and it might be the only way to see a movie in 3D at all...

Watched "Revenge of the Creature" last night and it was quite watchable, if far from perfect...

I remember checking this out a few years ago. The Carnival of Souls
conversion looked pretty good. Sadly many titles like Bwana Devil was
just a flat picture pushed back into the screen.

Oh, hell, no...all seem to come from, ahem, questionable sources and quality...started watching "Parasite" last night (which really needs to come out on 3D Blu!) and there are still a few effective moments...

Do you have access to the App Store? You'd simply have to search for and download the app.

I've had this channel on my Roku for a few years now, and hey, the channel is free and the only cost of watching these is a $2 pair of anaglyph glasses. I credit it with stoking my interest in classic 3D, and getting me to finally upgrade to a real 3D home setup.

In even the cheap, SD anaglyph format, some of the titles on there look pretty good, like Creature From the Black Lagoon, Revenge of the Creature, and It Came From Outer Space. Now having Creature and ICFOS on 3D blu ray, the drastic improvement makes me really appreciate how much work, creativity and skill went into both the original productions, and the restoration work.

Even seeing it with the washed-out colors, ghosting, and poor definition, the anaglyph version of Taza, Son of Cochise makes me REALLY want to see that film get a proper 3D restoration and release.
