Default 7.1 Dts Hd Master About Time

Shoot Em Up comes with 7.1 DTS-HD MASTER AUDIO and the sound ROCKS!
Also released WAR in 7.1 PCM.

The DTS is much better in my opion.

I am glad to see Blu-Ray finally using all 7.1 channels.

Both disc also use the 1.1 pip feature. I viewed it and its nothing great. You get to watch the movie while a pip box displays with commentary and video.

The pop for war is cool. Lets you scrub the movie for any position.

Considering the goal of DTS Master is to provide PCM quality at lower bitrates

Again, the same problem as with DVD. You're hearing hotter, cooked mixes as opposed to an accurate comparison. Style rather than the actual tech is what's being compared

DTS cheated and remixed stuff hotter and louder back in the DVD days, no reason to believe they're not still doing it.

7.1 DTS-HD MA has been out since Hairspray, although the truthiness of its 7.1 is debateable since some 7.1 decoders get only 5.1. Still, Rush Hour had it as well.

War brought out a new one though. 7.1 PCM. Sounds crazy.

DTS has always been superior sounding than Dolby. The legacy continues.

BDA should have made 5.1/7.1 DTS HD MA the official format of Blu-ray, and should have the PS3 be compatible with it as bitstream and/or LPCM.

You cant be serious about purchasing Hairspray. I was hoping that as more 1.1 titles come out they are all in 7.1. I was noting that 2 new movies both have 7.1. As for DTS cheating by amping up the sound, as long as sounds great thats fine with me.

You've got to be kidding. Then the most important feature to boast about BD would be senseless. Dud can fit a well sized movie with high video bitrates and a DTS HD MA track in it's measly 30 gigs. There is no way it will ever sound better than PCM, unless the mix was just a bad one.
