Here are Sarfarosh-Bluray pics and screenshots.

It is not so great but a decent Bluray transfer; lot of digital noise and soft images are present. But still I am glad to have my favourite movie of 90's era on Bluray.

^^ Looks good to me, the only issue is the watermark. Sarfrosh is also one of my favourites. Hows the Audio? Cant wait to hear 'Hoshwalon Ko Khabar' in HD,

I didn't check the Audio quality yet. I'll update as and when I watch the complete movie.
It has 2 lossless tracks: DTS HD MA 5.1 & Dolby TrueHD 5.1.
Disc Size is around 41 GB.

I donno bout u guys but based on screenshots posted, looks horribly smooth to me... even for a movie of that age.

^Yep, looks quite scrubbed to me too, and the color palette also seems tweaked, although since I never saw it on the big screen I can't claim for sure.

has some issues like boosted colours and lack of fine detail but have to say that was better than I was expecting (I was actually expecting washed out or faded colours).

These shots look okay to me. Nothing special. The colors are not good IMO.

...Looks like an upscaled pirate print to me. These releases really beg the question.. WHY!? I mean seriously. Ok, DTS HD sound track. Probably still not particularly great. I'm all for classics being released on BD but when the job's a half baked rush job whats the point? Either do a proper re-master or don't bother.

I wouldn't personally class this movie as a classic. The cover is horrid and cheesy. A totally subjective point but for me an epic like Karma or Kranti in crystal clear HD would be much preferred. To see a movie like that on a decent PJ and on the big screen would be an event I'd salivate over. Watching a movie that's repeated on tv here in the uk more often than some adverts does nothing for me. Come on peeps!

Sorry, rant over. The plus point of this movie is Sonali. One of the most under rated hotties to ever grace the bollywood big screen. She could give Julia Roberts or Cameron Diaz a run for their money. She's aged much better than them too.

I think its a below average Video Quality wise for Blu Ray. its just poor video quality from blu ray Standard.

Audio Quality

Jagjit sahab singing "Hoshwalon ko khabar kya" in Dolby TrueHD advanced 96k! upsampling.

"Jo Haal Dil Ka" in Advanced 96k! upsampling is great again.

I brought it just for Audio here! I know I am not getting GHULAM plus that horrible Shemaroo watermark.

Keep expectations very low. & not dissapointed at all.

I hate that shemaroo company because watermark show will on blu-ray and too same DVDs. I won't buy it.
