Downloaded Games Question - Blu-ray Forum

I have one PS3 that I have purchased downloadable games for. If I purchase another PS3 can I get those games to my other PS3 as well? Or do I have to purchase them again?

you can put each purchase on up to 5 different ps3's

Try set the 2nd one with the same username or at least login to the PS Network with it, then browse to purchased games, you should be able to download them again from there at no extra cost that is...

sony is pretty leniant and they also want people to upgrade their hard drives for future services.

the whole playstation 3 network is considered an open notework, not restrictive like the 360, so its awesome

Your allowed 5...it keeps count/track on their servers.

Your on-line account management has an activate/deactivate this PS3 or PSP option which I believe is connected in with the authorization and de-authorization (ie. deactivate) of counts .. similar model to iTunes.
However I haven't tested the deactivate option to verify that..just an assumption on my part at this point.

Thanks for the quick replies. I want to sell my Sony Blu-ray S1 Player and get another PS3 for my main living room. This kind of helps my decision. The load times are amazing on the PS3 compared to the S1

yeah your purchases are tied to your account so you can use them on a new PS3

The only downloadable game that doesn't have multi-downloads is Warhawk.

That's why I bought the Blu-ray version..I won't buy any D/L's that restrict my usage that drastically. If they go that route in the future and withdraw disc versions then I won't be buying those products. Don't care how good the game is or isn't. I'm not a criminal .. don't treat me like I am .. especially when you punish me on top of it.

help?
my friend let me sign into his account so i could download twisted metal and i did but it doesnt allow me to play it. are the ps1 games restricted from doing so. same friend downloaded stardust from my account and it works for him. any explanations?

Ive downloaded Warhawk onto both my PS3's ... Whats the problem? You can only use it on one at a time and under the same PSN you used to buy it.
