Wow!! Definitely a Day 1 purchase!! Such a fun, hilarious movie! And DAMN, looks like I need to invest in a region free player.

It will be a Universal release , Universal discs are playable on all players as they dont region code their releases.

To me, this is one of the many benefits of Blu-ray, and allows me to pick up many US releases without having to have a multi-region player

Warner Bros. and Universal and other region free distributor's should be applauded for making our hobby more accessible. It's slightly ironic that DVD has 8 or more regions, that horrible region 1 protection update and it's quite easy to hack most players, Blu-ray on the other hand only has three regions, thousands of discs are region ABC and it's almost impossible to buy an off-the-rack multi-region player (or hack one), unless you spend money on a modified player.

I want this, but I keep expecting them to release a John Hughes box set as they did on DVD.

Universal.... seems to be obsessed with releasing 80's movies exclusively in VC1 with DNR'd masters

This is high on my want list, but I'm afraid

Day one, ofcourse... but I hope Universal fix the slight audio problem the DVD had ; it was missing some brief dialogue.

Still, Kelly Lebrock in H.D? Can't go wrong with that!

I think he is saying that Universal will recycle the same master that was used for the DVD. Let's hope not, but it wouldn't be the first time Universal did that rather than create a new scan.

The only Hughes film I wasn't that fussed with so I won't bother with this one I don't think.

Bring on Some Kind of Wonderful, Pretty in Pink and She's Having a baby next please!
