It's the only title mentioned so far that I enjoyed but I didn't love it. It will be interesting to see if the case stays the same.

I really enjoyed this movie. I doubt if I'll double dip, but def worth it for anyone who hasn't seen the movie. Think James Bond meets Kick-Ass.

Shame. Black cases would have been better, as when I think of clear cases I think of 3D or Criterion.

Seriously? have you actually seen them or is them some kind of joke? Do you have a picky?

Clear and gold I like it, they sound similar to the High Fidelity Pure Audio discs White and Gold. I hope this is true.

Simple

Furthermore, the ‘given’ being, I take it that you either now own or plan to purchase a UHD/4K tv to watch your UHD Blu-rays on…..because like the 720p to 1080p television transition, they (UHD/4K) tvs will someday become ubiquitous and dominate (superior feature sets, etc.), at least in the most popular consumer sizes.

So, would you prefer the resource intensive post houses who have premium grade upscaling tools work from the best available quality master and upscale from 2K -> 4K… not using a completely (100%) automated process, but with at least a little human quality control oversight because formatting content from various sources to a uniform level of 4K quality requires expertise in different conversion processes, somewhatdepending upon whether the content was originally shot in 35 mm film, 1080p HDTV or 4K cinematic profile……

OR…..

would you prefer this all be done in the general public's UHD/4K tv with an already watered down (compared to studio masters) UHD Blu-ray source as the starting point for the upscale?

P.S.
As an aside, many elite operators in Hollywood post facilities prefer to first scale the source to the larger delivery resolution you need for your final master (4k/2k/UHD/HD) and then start finishing (color grading) from there because you’ll then stand a better chance of achieving a superior looking outcome.

I'm extrapolating the price from US dollars to UK pounds, but that looks darned promising to me.

In comparison, the 1080p 3D version of Mad Max: Fury Road is currently being sold by the same Best Buy site for $29.99, so you're actually getting a 4K, HDR disk cheaper!

Here's hoping we soon see these titles popping up for per-order on UK shores.

I am going to use my amazing powers of past experience to predict that a $24.99 US price point, once taking into account the exchange rate, fluctuations thereof, inflation, taxes, marketing prices, localisation, harmonisation and beautification will be carefully calculated, weighed and measured and come out at precisely £24.99.
