Yeah I'll be buying this. Been staying away from the marketing as usual, but the first one rocked and if this is at least as good, it'll be a day one purchase.

Not a fan of the Depp casting but the trailers won me over. Gonna be seeing this in Dolby Cinema and probably a day one UHD purchase as well.

Maybe that's temp art....the first movie had Dolby Atmos while the Potter movies had DTS:X so here's hoping that this movie will get Atmos as well.
Seeing this tomorrow in Atmos in my local cinema so looking forward to that.

Good movie and should be a stunner with HDR, as the first one was. Saw this in an Atmos auditorium and the mix was quite good, too. One of the beasts should give subs a nice workout.

Im hearing less favourable reviews for this one? Did you think it was still as good as the first?

Just came back from seeing this and I liked it and like Imsounoriginal I liked it more than the first movie......and the Atmos track was great btw !

this is a very short Dolby Cinema theatrical engagement as I'm seeing most DC screens get 'Ralph Breaks the Internet' next Wednesday.

I saw this in Dolby tonight. The quality of the image is equal to the first, if not better. They stepped up to the Alexa 65 for a lot of this one. The opening scene is an HDR showcase with some blinding highlights in a dark and rainy setting. And there were some beautiful fire fx in another scene. The sound was good too, with surprising rumble on a few occasions.

I’m a Potter fan so I did enjoy it, but not as much as the first. Maybe because this one seemed to focus more on The Crimes of Grindelwald rather than Fantastic Beasts (and Newt).
