Australia Judgment at Nuremberg - what's the Australian release like?

Hi all, Judgment at Nuremburg is near the top of my want-to-watch-list (as I'm currently working my way through the iMDB top 250) but it appears to only be available on Blu-ray in Oz (from 'Shock')...

I was thinking about ordering it from JB hi-fi (http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/dvd/d...blu-ray/701717) but wondered if it was any good in terms of PQ, AQ and extras?

Any comments!?

Thanks!

Been on the lookout for this one myself. As soon as I pick it up I'll let you know.

Unless, of course someone else has it.

It's a fairly solid release IMHO, typical MGM unrestored transfer, ie organic looking, good detail with no distracting DNR, plenty of grain but also some frequent light white speckles.

BD-50 plus 1080p, 2.20:1 ratio and lossless audio. 3 extras too.

Can't wait to finally see this in it's correct aspect ratio!

Our local release of this (as well as Umbrella's release of Witness For The Prosecution) seem to be hard to come by in stores, though I have managed to come by a single copy of both in the last week, one in Melbourne and one in Sydney. Wondering if Shock put the Nuremberg release together themselves, as I can find no other anywhere in the world on BD and with extras. Curious...

The aspect ratio of the aussie BD is 1.66:1, the cover incorrectly lists it as 2.20:1. The original aspect ratio is 1.75:1

sorry you are right, I just put the AR from the cover without thinking if that was actually what I was watching.

I live in the US, ordered this from Amazon UK marketplace seller smokecds. It arrived 2 days ago, watched it last night. Nice transfer, although no restoration work was done. But no real issues. I'm very pleased, and doubtful that we'll see a nicer version any time soon. Love these Hollywood Gold Series blu's from Shock/Veg. All region-free and I'm very satisfied with all the ones I have (Lifeboat, The Devil's Brigade, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Exodus, and this one).
