So I just moved into a new place with no roommates to break my stuff, and with that I decided to finally get some nice things. One of which was a home theater setup consisting of a Sony XBR55X900E 4K UHD TV, Sony HT-NT5 Hi-Res soundbar, and an Xbox One S.
Here is my issue, the soundbar. Sounds fricken awesome when things explode or an aircraft flies by but when its just dialogue (actors talking) I can barely hear what they are saying so I have to turn up the volume on the soundbar. Problem is that now because the volume is turned way up to hear what the actors are saying soon as some type of action scene or explosion happens its so loud my neighbors across the street can probably hear it. I've talked with Xbox tech support and Sony tech support both sucked, like bad. I know the issue is that the HT-NT5 soundbar is a 2 channel soundbar (Left / Right) with no center and Blu-Rays are in 7.1 (sometimes 5.1). I need to know if there is some way to make this work to where I can keep the Hi-Res quality sounds for action scenes and be able to hear what actors are saying at the same time without having to crank up the volume every time someone talks in the movie. For music the soundbar is awesome so I really don't want to get rid of it but if I can't watch my 4K HDR blu-rays I bought no point in keeping it. If anyone could help I would appreciate it otherwise it's going back to the store (I got about 3 days left in the return policy window) and I might get the Samsung HW-MS650/ZA. If anyone has any suggestions on soundbars that work well with xbox one s for blu-rays that would be helpful as well. Thanks, Trinity |
