Is this one more action, more comedy or split evenly half and half?

Ordered...though i really think these would be better served as double feature releases on BD-50 discs...near £20 for BD-R isn't great...though i appreciate they probably aren't making that much profit. Think this one might struggle to get the 75 required.

This is not looking good as the orders have pretty much stalled and were already going at a glacial pace compared to the previous releases. Will this be the first release that will be refunded?

Are any of their earlier releases still for sale? One says 200 copies but they've only sold 148 or so.

Go ahead and email them. I did regarding Clones and at the time I was told they were all out but a couple months later they sent me a copy of Clones. They specifically mentioned I was sent one because I had inquired about it and they have a waiting list on a first come, first served basis for any extra copies of their previous releases.

Needs only ten more orders now for Kung Fu Master to be shipped out, so the pace has picked up considerably within the last couple weeks.

Have they set a deadline date for when they require the 75 orders by?

It's always been 30 days to the best of my recollection. I don't think they stood steadfast to that rule though. So this crowdfunding started on April 24, so we're overdue since we should be getting refunds by now since May 24 was the cut off date.

I'd make it 74 if I had the funds to do so right now (and I'm sure there's someone else out there who would jump once it reaches 74?). I just need to wait a few days, maybe a week or so, to get some cash together.

They seem to struggle more with their non-Bruceploitation titles... both Clones of Bruce Lee and Soul Brothers of Kung Fu fared well, while Lackey and the Lady Tiger had a sluggish push as well. Admittedly, I only chipped in for SBOKF. Of course that seemed to be the most infamous of the releases so far

I also bought SBOKF from them but haven't got around to watching it yet, could you elaborate on the "infamous" part? Also if you're aware the German DVD release of SBOKF from "Asia Line" earlier this year, how would you compare the two releases?

The German DVD obviously isn't in HD but besides that it clearly wins:
* Uncut & correct in both versions of the film (Spanish BD-R was missing sth in a death scene shortly before the last fight scene + having a moment in the alternate version that continuity-wise doesn't make sense there / wasn't in the original releases of the alternate version)
* For some weird reason the many SD inserts in the Spanish BD-R are in wrong aspect ratio & extremely zoomed in / windowboxed while the German DVD has almost all of them in better quality that blends in relatively (considering it's still from a VHS source) seamless with the rest of the movie

BTW: The new Asia Line release Big Boss 2 (= Dragon Bruce Lee Part 2) also contains the Spanish BD-R master of "Clones of Bruce Lee" as a bonus. Both movies on the disc have English audio.

Unless they are repeating the extra Clones is actually the bonus movie on this release https://www.amazon.de/Asia-Line-Rach...rds=big+boss+2

Yeah, I was too fast there..already noticed that mistake and edited it in my post. Sorry for the mix-up.

Said next Asia Line release should have this one as a bonus (in anamorphic format for the first time) on the other hand: Hot, Cool and Vicious

Hot,The Cool,The Vicious is a great movie and far too good to be a bonus feature on an inferior film Still hopefully it'll be an improvement on the old Eastern Heroes dvd i have.

Agree with Sam. Whatever the main feature is... it won't be as good as VICIOUS.

The Eastern Heroes edition was cropped, so it would be "COOL" to see it in its original 2.35 ratio.

it's a bonus because it's the old German DVD Version repackaged with added English Subs=not 2.35, same as EH DVD.

Pretty much what Much47 said... on that note, perhaps I should trot over to Amazon.de

Also, I just discovered at movie-censorship.com that apparently the French theatrical cut of the film had alternate footage for all of Shao Yin-yin's nude scenes. In most scenes, they just gave her a long shirt to throw on real quick and they would reshoot the scene :P Meanwhile, her shower seduction scene with Lo Meng was reshot to have her keep her towel on. Between this and the footage in the finale, it's kinda crazy how much alternate footage they shot for this one.

It's just a pity that none of that copious footage makes for a good movie!
