Premonition loading real slow in S301 and 5.1 audio problem - Blu-ray Forum

I've got 30 Blu's and Premonition is by far the slowest loading and the audio cuts in and out using the optical cable. My player is the Sony S301 and my audio setting is Dolby Digital.
I found that the Blu discs that have audio "PCM 5.1", the audio cuts in and out. The Blu discs that have "DTS HD 5.1 lossless audio", play fine.

Seems the Blu discs are made under different criteria....bad enough trying to figure out what player to buy, but ya gotta also check out the discs.....

Where's the standards????

Funny, I actually JUST put this in and it's still going through the credits . . . no problem with loading or audio. Have you updated the firmware on your player? Also, if you're using optical and you select the PCM track, it's only going to give you stereo sound . . . just in case you didn't know.

HDMI or analog outs, if it has them . . . I'm not familiar with the specs for that player.

The S301 has outputs on the back for 5.1 everything is labled just connect your speakers

Hooking the speakers directly to the S301 eliminates my B&K processor and amplifier...

Connect to the 5.1 inputs on your B&K, from the Sony.

Unfortunately, the B&K processor does not have 5.1 inputs....and the dude at B&K said even the latest B&K processors/receivers don't have 5.1 inputs.
