Audio on Headset?

I only play CoD, and I got some wireless Sony headphones. I have audio going through my reciever/Amp etc and no matter what I select (chat audio or All audio) I can only get Chat via the headphones so I can't hear footsteps etc and people complain that my TV is too loud etc. what do I do? connect PS4 direct to TV or is there a work-around?

I have not. I still want lossless for BD etc. will that work too?

Not 100% sure as I'm an audio noob.

I have Astro A50s and I remember having issues with connectivity, specifically having the sound come out of my headset instead of my TV, until I used the optic cable.
