I liked the movie when I saw it in the theater. The package looks really nice. But, not so sure I will be picking it up. Tempting though.

Just gave this one a watch. I think I'll cancel my pre-order. Although I really enjoyed a lot of aspects of it, it doesn't seem like something I'd rewatch. If I do decide to keep it it'll only be because this looks like a quality release.

My mini review if anyone's interested:

"A fairly original vampire story. Its originality comes from the design choices the director makes, all of which hit a home run. The film is breathtakingly beautiful yet still maintains a simple and elegant look. It has some very memorable moments, which are unfortunately mostly in the first thirty minutes. There's not much going on after that, when the story becomes somewhat repetitive and uneventful. It has some creepy imagery but it's not scary. Overall, although I must say I am a bit disappointed, this is an absolute must see because not only is it the rare vampire film that brings something new to the table, but the score and cinematography are beautiful. "

I've had the blu-ray pre ordered for about a month now. LOVED this film.

I also just purchased the double LP soundtrack today from Mondo.

Why did the reviewer give this a movie a 2.5 rating?!? Hmmmm, ok... and the same reviewer gave "Aquamarine" a rating of 3.5. OK, enough said. I guess I can dismiss this reviewer's rating of a 2.5.

It seemed like the score was more based on the movie than the actual Blu-ray.

It's a mash-up of more genres than I can think of - everything but the kitchen sink is thrown in. Even so, a great film that seems fresh, and I can't wait to own and revisit.

I'll rent this one from Hastings, watch it, then make a decision to buy or not. Seems the reviews are really mixed on this one. People either love it or hate it.

Not sure, I've had it pre-ordered on Amazon for a while and I'm not getting mine until tomorrow. Silly people couldn't get it shipped out to me for release day.
