Seems to be more Zone of Disinterest for the UK. I'd been hoping for a BFI release as they also co-funded it.

I can imagine Criterion having the rights as we haven’t seen anything in the US either. The lack of a US BD also happened with Anatomy of a Fall. Now with Criterion also doing 4Ks in the UK, they could have taken the rights. The film being brand new maybe accelerates the release but it’s obviously no guarantee that they hurry up this one time.

A24 could release it themselves in the US too similar to Aftersun.

The Whale and Everything Everywhere All at Once are the two other films that A24 themselves have distributed through their own UK branch, and both were dumped to Prime Video without a physical release. I assume the same fate will befall Zone.

I simply cannot believe this has not yet received a US release on 4K disc.

As soon as I order the 4k iTunes release, it will be announced...

This is unlikely. Leonine exclusively cater to German audiences. Their German dubs sometimes even get audio with more channels (ex. 7.1 German dub vs. 5.1. for English) and English subs are very rarely, if ever included with their releases.

I assume the French UHD will be the same. For the US, I still think Criterion licensed the film due to the complete absence of even a barebones BD.

What kind of subtitles, English? Also, it's Leonine, it'll be a miracle if this has a solid encode without glaring issues.
