25X20(ft?) is a Large home theater room NOT small. Those speakers will be way too small for that sized room.

when building your home theater, go slow, and research on whats available out there. there is no need to rush into things.

what will you use the speakers for?
mainly for listening to music?
movies?
prefer stereo material over 5.1 material?

for a 20x25 room id definitely invest in a good set of speakers. and with your current budget, id say go first with your fronts.

establish a good set of LR speaker, a solid and voice matched center speaker, preferably of the same brand and line.

give yourself the time to head on out to a good Home Theater store, preferably away from big end stores, to dedicate some good listening time to it.

also bring some familiar material, both in stereo and in 5.1 (if ever movies is a good choice or a good DVD Audio/sacd.)

Once youve established a good soundstage, then you invest in your rears...

Good luck on your quest.

FREE Polk Audio Subwoofer

Get a FREE PSW10 powered sub ($199.99 value) with a Polk home speaker purchase totaling $499 or more.

These are going to be my next speakers ..

http://www.magnepan.com/_mmg.php

or if you want an all inclusive 5 speaker set then here..

http://www.magnepan.com/_mmgw.php

Make sure you read the 2 Jump to Reviews at the bottom of this page..the top of their page is misleading as it's simply describing a possible usage of these speakers. The reviews are what you care about to see if it fits with what you have/need..and 20-25 foot room is quite big. Those review prices are from a couple of years ago so you should verify that info.

Features SnapShot! Description Features Model: MMG W main and surround speaker
Price: $299 USD per pair
Dimensions: 38.25"H x 10.25"W x 1"D
Weight: 20 pounds per pair

Model: MMG C center-channel speaker
Price: $299 USD
Dimensions: 36"W x 9.25"H x 5.25"D
Weight: 18 pounds

System Price: $897 USD
Warranty: Three years parts and labor; 60-day money-back guarantee

· Flat-panel, wall-mounted design
· Planar-magnetic diaphragm
· No crossover
· Fabric grilles
· Oak frames

Others can chime in in regards to your amplifier being able to drive these speakers adequately...the higher end maggies need a lot's of oomph and space but these ones shouldn't need anything close. It's been awhile since I read the reviews - they may have that info in there.

P.S. I bought the CC2 ( http://www.magnepan.com/_cc3.php now the CC3) a few years ago and have been waiting a loooong time to upgrade the rest of the speakers to the maggies in the first link..although now that we have a dedicated room these are tempting.. http://www.magnepan.com/_mg12.php

Update:And I second and third what jomari said.

id suggest svs's surround system,

http://www.svsound.com/products-spks-scs01.cfm

great set of speakers, and im sure they can go well with your room dimensions.

mind you, these do not come with a subwoofer, but im sure their reputation precedes them with their subwoofers, and built it around this notion.

Also consider Hsuresearch as well,

Both of these companies are internet companies, yet provide excellent service for the money.

Here is their complete line of packages available.

My preference is the enthusiast level 1,

http://hsuresearch.com/products/enthusiast1.html

Good luck!
