Default DreamWorks Animation 33 films

I'm told DreamWorks sold the animation studio. As a present to all the employees they put together a BEAUTIFUL 33 blu ray box set. The blu rays only contain the movie, no special features.

I paid $100 for mine off ebay. Which is 3.33 per film. Unfortunately I did not check for anyone else selling a copy.

If you like DreamWorks, this is definitely worth it. Someone is still selling a copy for $50 free s/h. That's a buck fifty per film, and the case is gorgeous.

I bought that copy, hopefully it comes good and legit. I'm a bit sketched out about because that was a great deal. I'm guessing that is the only way to get Prince of Egypt on Blu-ray too which is cool.

Thanks for the heads up!

I was thrilled at paying $100. BUT, I was stupid because I always check. It's just when something isn't for open sale, there's usually only one. Here there were two. If you love DreamWorks, you're going to be thrilled with this. The packaging of it is amazing. The photo the guy put up for yours is the same front as the set I have.

Enjoy, you'll be very happy.

Is anyone going to share a link or at least an image of the boxset?

I'm sorry. Can we back up for a second. What do you mean, DreamWorks sold the animation studio? Are they no longer making movies after How to Train Your Dragon 3?

Comcast purchased Dreamworks Animation. They’ll continue to release movies under Universal Studios.

Update: It shipped and got here already. This set is amazing. 1000x thank-you vanlutz for this post. Here are some pictures of my set: https://imgur.com/a/xwxu2W4

The only issue was the discs were very stuck in the set, causing small scratches when taking them out even when though I was very careful. They'll play fine though I think.

Those pictures look great!
Couple questions though. Were the discs pressed? Were they made by Fox or Universal?

Yes, I do believe so. The discs are the usual color of blu-rays, which would be the indicator I think. As for who they were made by, I'm not exactly sure? The Fox movies have the fox opening, while others just have the DreamWorks opening. The discs each say, "2016 DreamWorks Animation LLC. All Rights Reserved."

So that explains why Boss Baby and Captain Underpants aren’t included.

For the first-time releases, are all the special features from the DVD ported over or is it just the movie?

All of them just start up the movie as soon as the disc is in, no menu or bonus features. I don't mind because I got them for a great price.

You're welcome.

The discs were tough to remove from my set also. It's the hard cardboard they were set in.

I really was taken by how beautiful the packaging was. From the photos of mine, I was expecting something not as nice and much smaller.

I still have quite a few to watch. But, I also have 92 other movies I haven't watched yet. Tonight I head a triple feature: "Swerve" (not bad. But not as good as The Last Seduction. Which is not available on bluray). "Hanna" which I love, and the 3D musical "Those Redheads from Seattle".

Enjoy your set.

I'm wondering if anyone who has this box set has checked specs on some of the unreleased films such as Prince of Egypt, Antz or Over The Hedge.
I'm wondering if they appear to be restored transfers with DTS-HD MA 5.1 sound.

I've been scouring the internet for more details on these and can't seem to find anything.

Looks like this all happened back in 2016. So not new news, although news to me.
