Just saw this on Amazon, no pre-order yet. About halfway down the page in the product description it says it's a steelbook.

What makes you say that? There are 2 others listed with the same Steelbook description (Empire of the Sun, and Training Day). Doesn't seem like just some random erroneous description in a pre-order listing to me.

Because it's not going to be the director's cut. As you've mentioned, there's a wave of Warner titles down for the same date. It's a simple repackaging.

Pretty interesting line of steelbooks. Leathal Weapon is the only one I, currently, own...so these could be pretty appealing, if priced right.

There's also a listing for Enter the Dragon coming out the same day, but it currently has no mention of being a Steelbook like the others, so we'll have to wait and see.

While it isn't a directors cut it didn't stop them releasing this DVD as the Directors cut.

- That Lethal Weapon 2, 3 and 4 will have their own steelbooks. (I'm still waiting on The Matrix sequels too.)
- That this includes either the Extended Cut or both cuts. (That schoolyard shooting blew me away ever since I first saw it pop up on Channel 5 out of the blue, years ago.)
