And why not? If that is what it takes to enjoy watching something, so be it. Better that than missing out on a ton of good movies.
When I used to only have a "square" 29" CRT, I would zoom in partially on 2.35:1 titles. The black bars were still present, but not as wide. I was very well aware that I was losing pictures from the sides and compromised the PQ, but I was ok with those losses. Of course ever since I bought a widescreen TV, those zooming days are over. |
