Just a heads-up Koch did a solid job releasing both of these in Germany:
The Cannon KING SOLOMON'S MINES has, AFAIK, never been issued on Blu before. There's some discoloration in the print over the opening credits (perhaps why) but the image is crisp and satisfying. Stereo PCM audio and an interview with Richard Chamberlain was shot (and used only in part, obviously) for the "Electric Bugaloo" documentary. ALLAN QUARTERMAIN is in real stereo, unlike Olive's US release (one of several Cannon discs they issued in mono for whatever reason). PCM audio again, good transfer, and an extended interview with director Gary Nelson, shot for Electric Bugaloo are also included. Both are B locked https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

Good call. IMO KING SOLOMON's picture is much better than "slightly" better than Olive's -- in motion it is a marked improvement.
