Mpeg2? I thought Fox said most of their releases will be AVC from now on.

That list has to be a mistake. I expect no less than 20 titles from them this quarter. remember Fox said they would put out a over 80 titles for the year.

MPEG2, really odd, not sure I figure that one... I wonder why they would switch to a less efficient (not worst) codec?

Yeah, 6 titles in 3 months is kind of weak.

I'm probably in for all 4 of the ones noted above but don't understand the MPEG2 usage and 25 GB disk on Ice Age. What's up with that?

Fox seems to make a bunch of mistakes vis-a-vis stating they're using MPEG 2 when infact the encodes are AVC, e.g. The Simpsons.

Why is FOX using BD25 discs and MGPEG 2? Shouldn't that be AVC and BD50? I thought Fox was big on BD50..

I think most of these are actually AVC, and there will be more than that.

I assume if these release specs are right that these titles were prepped for release awhile ago, possibly during the great Fox silence. Or they just could be listed wrong.
