I'm still a little unclear on how this game works. I can't tell if it's strictly team vs team, team vs bots, an admixture, a single player campaign, etc.

They're really missing their chance....

Trying to compete with Fallout, COD, Gears of war 4, Battlefront which will all be at their peaks this holiday season makes no sense.

Absolutely right. They're thinking it's better not to go head to head w/ all of 'em in November(by pushing it to December). That's nuts. They'd be better off not going against those games w/ an October release, and developing an early interest. Once those others take off, there's only so much time/interest available. Seems like Ubi ALWAYS pushes back everything that people are the most eager for.

It's Tom Clancy. Maybe they have a fan following of gamers who can't wait for all Clancy games? So they think sales will be norm.

Do know there is no good time to drop a game this holiday/4th quarter so bring em all on!

Hope GameStop accepts thousand dollar bills.

Yeah, that's kinda why I was thinking the original Oct. release would give 'em a jump on the competition. Maybe get some people really hooked to steal away from the Nov/Dec releases. But what do I know...

I still have free closed beta keys for Rainbow Six: Siege if anyone wants one, just PM and request one. Good for XBOX One, PS4, and PC users.

Yeah I mean they'll be some people who will play all those games but for kids getting cod, battlefront, gears, fallout for Christmas, not to mention the hardcore players should be in full swing with one month under their belts aside from the player who just wants to achievement hunt they really shot themselves in the foot. The should just hold off till February or March.

I'm definitely going to buy this game.

Played a bit last night and even more this afternoon.

Last night was alone and today was with a friend. Even with just one friend it's a radically different experience. My friend would activate his drone and scout while I was on the move.

It's everything I loved about the intensity of S&D in Call of Duty mixed with Rainbow Six gameplay. It's not as hyper realistic as some may have wanted but running and gunning is not an option.

Played it a little, got worked over pretty bad. I'm still buying it though. Maybe I'll fare better in the co-op mode.

Been playing the co-op in beta. This thing is PHENOMENAL. One of the most fun shooters I've ever played, hands down. Haven't been this excited about a game for years!

lol you'll have to explain this to me... Because honestly I think its terrible and I love slower paced team based games like Gears of war.

This just feels clunkier than even Vegas games were and far less polished, the maps are FAR too big for 5v5, the loadouts are meh, and the graphics are sub par in my op, and almost look like a remastered New Vegas.

R6:V was one of my favorite shooters of all time, and that was primarily due to the awesome campaign. The multiplayer was fun, sure, but I loved the feel of the story mode. When I read this game had no single player campaign? Instant delete from my Amazon Wishlist.

This was my post on the PS4 thread, I'd love to hear Constitution 101s counter to my post

R6V literally got me off COD4, Gears of War extreme dedication to those games not to mention some of the best games of the last decade if the foundation of where we are today they were so good... SO that really does say something about just how great the R6V series was to draw in teams and play terrorist hunt, campaign etc.

I know the quick counter to anything negative about this game will be "well you need a team you need a team"

My thoughts:
-Gameplay: R6 Vegas always had a learning curve at it was much different then most shooters but this gameplay is beyond bad, and is just downright awkward like it doesn't even make me want to try to hone my abilities.

-Layout: Selecting weapons appears to be overly tedious hopefully it changes back to a more Vegas style setup list than what we see in this beta so this could drastically change

-Graphics: If it looked like killzone you can overlook how bad they ruined their game, but it really does look like New Vegas with some current gen polish. Odd considering they have the Division engine they could be using which looks amazing which if you just reskinned that and ran it like Vegas it could be amazing... Instead I'm just like

Bottom line: Friends make any game fun... Hell even Raccoon City which was probably the most awful game I've ever played I had fun with because I had multiple friends playing with me. So this excuse to me really is just a cop-out because any game can be fun when you've got your buddies with you.

I'd seriously advise people to avoid this game unless you are 1000% sure you'll have friends on it for the long haul.

I can easily dismiss your entire post just by stating the obvious: it's a beta. The game's not finished yet.

except how many games are drastically different? This game still needs an overhaul from what it is now.

Are the maps going to shrink in size to be more conducive to 5v5?

Delayed feedback which R6V was already known for which appears worse here is that going to be fixed

those are just two things that wont be overhauled because "its a beta"

And this beta clearly shows why the game was delayed

The lobby/match connectivity and gun selection menu(HORRIBLE) that you mentioned are substantive issues, no doubt. However, I've been playing it a ton, and literally NO ONE out of hundreds has said anything but how they love the gameplay. They've w/o exception stated how they CANT WAIT for the finished product. Keep in mind, these are ALL former RB62 players like myself. If they don't make major improvements in those areas, they'll have some frustrated fans to be sure. But there'll be no shortage of players, believe me. I think you'll find yourself in the small minority, but to each his own. My main compliant is that the optics for the weapons need a lot of changing. Some of them(while true to life/realistic) are too occlusive, defeating the purpose.
