United Kingdom The Woman/Offspring Limited Edition (Arrow)

Almost a decade after Lucky McKee burst upon the indie horror scene and became a ‘Master of Horror’ in the making thanks to his directorial debut May, he teamed up with legendary cult author Jack Ketchum for his most shocking and brutal film to date: The Woman, an instant cause célèbre on its Sundance premiere.

The Woman (Pollyanna McIntosh, The Walking Dead) is the last surviving member of a deadly clan of feral cannibals that has roamed the American wilderness for decades. When successful country lawyer Chris Cleek (Sean Bridgers, Room) stumbles upon her whilst hunting in the woods, he decides to capture and “civilize” her with the help of his seemingly perfect all-American family, including his wife Belle (Angela Bettis, May) and daughter Peggy (Lauren Ashley Carter, Darling). The Cleeks will soon learn, however, that hell hath no fury like The Woman scorned…

Experience McKee and Ketchum’s uncompromisingly twisted vision of the dark side of the American family in a definitive new edition, including a 4K remaster, brand new bonus features, and a bonus disc featuring a brand new restoration of its gut-churning 2009 predecessor Offspring, also starring McIntosh.

Previous UK releases did not include subtitles, hopefully Arrow will include them.
Looking at the various worldwide releases, only the German releases included English subtitles.

The old UK releases do have English subs? Are you sure?
Their listings don't list subs, but its user contributions of course.

i had to order via zavvi sadly.
Arrow/HMV you pay for postage
HMV delivery date is 5 days after release.Noticed this for a few pre orders recently.
They only seem to ship on time on 50% of the items I order.

Just pre-ordered this on Amazon. Great price for two movies and a bucket load of extras. To be honest I'm a little surprised Arrow didn't hold off and include Darlin' which is the third in the series and did the festival rounds last year, directed by Pollyanna McIntosh herself no less.

I would assume another company has the rights to Darlin'.

Probably. As it is they weren’t able to get the license for Offspring in the US version.

I just went to pre-order via Zavvi and they were charging more postage than HMV for me?

I'm not fussed on getting films on release day since I work away most of the time anyway and only get home for weekends. I try and support HMV as much as possible as I fear we won't have them around for much longer without some support so have opted for a pre-order there.

Been a good while since I last saw The Woman and I've never seen Offspring so really looking forward to this release.

Yeah I noticed this too, bloody shame as I missed the £14.99 offer.
Hopefully it drops back down at some point.

Why did you not pre order from Amazon the day it went live on Amazon
Price dropped to £14.99 at one stage
Amazon have pre order price promise anytime a price drops after you order before release date you auto get that lower price

Amazon have free shipping option on orders over £20 you can order a few items with different release dates in one order

Amazon Prime customers get free shipping on all orders no matter what the price is where amazon is the seller and often get free upgrade to piriorty shipping on some orders
I get delivery on release date with most of my orders from Amazon UK

Amazon prime has lot more than just free shipping and pays for it self easily if you order a lot of Blu-ray or 4K UHD releases or any other products
Just make sure when ordering amazon is the seller

As you are based in UK You also get access free access to Prime Video and Prime Music with Amazon Prime

Prime shipping isn’t free, it’s £7.99 a month.
When you don’t order enough a month to warrant it why pay that?
