Order placed but same thoughts... really annoyed there is no 4K steel (as yet) - my only hope is it will be like the Blade Runner 2049 with Zavvi getting the 3D steel exclusive and HMV get the 4K (and 3D FWIW) steel exclusive... which will sell like lightning if it happens!

I figured Zavvi would go 3D.
BB will probably go 4K anyway and I suspect more than one Premium label will as well.

First it's not Zavvi exclusive well at least according to the email and website "Ready Player One 3D (Includes 2D Version) - Limited Edition Steelbook Blu-ray" since they will always have Zavvi exclusive if it was.

I hope that someone else might do a 4K 3D steelbook but this is Warner UK and so far failed to do a 4K/3D/2D combo unless HMV or Amazon Manage to convince them otherwise.

Given this don't have Zavvi exclusive hopefully amazon or HMV might step up and give us the Steelbook at a lower price point. (Well HMV at £24.99 but could lower to £22.99 as they done it before with steelbooks in the past).

Preordered one. Still haven't seen the movie but I know I'll want to see it in 3D. Might have to get something premium for this though

I’m sure 4K will be great but 3D is the proper way to see this one. There is so much depth to many of the scenes it’s crazy.

I'm going for both. I've got the BB version preordered. 3D is my favorite format if it's available but I like having 4K for when I don't want to set up my projector and screen.

Preordered since I want a steelbook and the 3D. I'm not liking the artwork so much though. I really hope they change it. There was a lot of great poster art for this movie or they could choose from so many scenes from the movie and instead they go with a boring 3D wire model of an Easter Egg.....appropriate? yes but still ugly.
