Of these six new releases, this is the one I might be looking forward to the most -- the theatrical version has not been available up until this point, and we need more classic comedy on 4K.

Wow, never thought this one would see 4k and especially the theatrical. Not sure if I'd watch the extended cut but it's still nice to have for completion.

While not the only reason, this is certainly the main reason I am buying Vol 2. And with the history between Reitman and Murray, and all their successes, I really can’t wait to see them reminiscing.

Love that the tv cut is included. I’ve probably seen the edited for tv version more than the actual theatrical version haha. Seriously can’t wait though.

Basically I grew up around this movie...being nine at the time seeing it on numerous VHS rentals and on cable. While watching the extended BD, I kept thinking how much I missed the theatrical version.

I'm pretty much buying this set for Stripes and Taxi Driver. Especially since it looks like Stripes is FINALLY getting the treatment it deserves...

THis edition of STRIPES, especially as it includes a new BD, deserves to be released separately this year as it's the 40th anniversary and not having us wait another year or more. It has pretty much everything a fan of the film would ask for: the option to watch the extended cut footage separately in case you only want to watch the theatrical cut, even more deleted scenes that didn't make it into the extended cut, original mono, the TV version...

I don't have a UHD player but I don't mind buying UHD discs as long as the BD is a new master (as in Warner's The Shining). It should be mandatory for catalogue releases. I mean, people who buy catalogue releases on UHD have most likely already bought the BD and don't need an extra copy of an ancient disc.

This movie is so epic and once it's released separately, I'll be picking it up on day freaking 1! Really glad we're getting both cuts.

Add me to the list that loves Stripes, a classic comedy that also happens to bring back great memories from my teens and those early cable tv days, I'd be all over an individual release (if that happens) of the TC on the day it hits the pavement (definitely not paying for 6 films tho just to get my hands on a mere 2 I want...sorry Columbia, I CAN wait or pass, that lumping good stuff with the heh approach has never worked on me)!
