Default Warner no pay off to go Blu!

Over at HDD they are saying that Warner did not accept a pay off to go Blu. It was rumored that they accepted anywhere from $250mil to $500mil.

Why would Blu-ray need to bribe anyone? They clearly have the best product.

This makes it even funnier with everyone over at AVS crying about a $450 payoff. They are out of excuses.

The future is Blu

it was just funny reading some of the comments over there and the first thing HD-DUD supporters were asking was "how much?"

It was anticipated that a compensation package might be available to Warner for $$$ losses from dropping HD DVD as compared to a Paramount type bribe.

I guilty of the payoff, too. I had just bought 8 more Warner titles from the Amazon BOGO a few days ago. This is in addition to all the other previous Warner BD's I've bought since 2006.

Who cares?

HD-DVD played dirty with Paramount, rather than letting the consumer decide.

Very commendable and shows the commitment to the better format by Warner Bros. Hey, they have earned my respect!
