I found both at the yonge/bloor store in Toronto. Picked up the Ship of Fools collection.

Gee shipping is harsh on only one item. $6.19 it wanted to charge. Added a 2nd item, and shipping increased to $6.38 .... so I guess the more you order, the cheaper shipping becomes per item.

Sunrise has a deal now that if you buy 3 CDs or blurays/DVDs or mix and match you get the fourth one free. Obviously the least expensive one is free but they got a ton of 5-10 dollar bluray or CDs so you can easily get 7 dollar CDs that are pretty recent.

The new Beyoncé album is 13.99 so you could get that lesser than 10 easily.

I went two SR stores and I am pretty sure I saw more Mill Creek double features like Mr. Sardonicus/The Brotherhood of Satan for $6.99 although I do not think it is listed on the site. Sorry I did not write them down so they may need to verified, anyway here is a list:

Despite the SR site claiming lots of $9.99 BDs I found only a few, the rest had prices so high it queered the B3G1 deal except on Olive titles (Betty Boop, Magic Christian, etc) which had the lowest prices I have seen but only if you have the $15 membership. If there was no cineplex bogo and 50% off I would pull the trigger.

Im' in BC so we don't have any out this way, and with looks to be high shipping prices and lack of deals, I don't see myself ordering from them anytime soon.

Sunrise isn't too bad, as long as you have the discount card. Sometimes they get USA releases, other imports, and usually have a great selection of catalog and non-mainstream releases.

As mentioned elsewhere Sunrise has a 25% off the red non-membership price. $9.99 Notables (which I was told would qualify for the 25% off) I saw were:

Se7en (re-mastered)
A Passage to India

I also saw WB Archive BD titles Fearless and Death Trap in-store although hardly cheap at $27, too bad I could not find Gypsy.

According to the link the chain was sold to new owners recently and then the old owners jacked up the rent on the new store owners. Obliviously nobody can run a business under such circumstances.

The SR staff told me the supposed white sticker sale has been cancelled.

I got suspicious when I noticed the same number of BDs were on the shelves as when I was last there which is not what I would of expect from a 2 day 'unprecedented' sale. Maybe it was some ploy by the new owners to generate bad press for the former owners.

I think of my collection of 1300 blurays I've mabey bought 5 of them at sunrise. the prices are insane at the ones in London idk how they stay in bus when all the locations they have here at right near other places with better prices on stuff. about the only stuff I bought there was stuff that had slipcovers that I couldn't find anywhere else but I could see why the prices on stuff was so high that the stuff had been sitting there from when it had been released 3+ years before.

One of the closing stores had a 25% off lowest non-membership price sale today. The competition stores are of course are already in that price range for most titles.

Went to the Yonge & Dundas store today and saw the 25% off sale. Most stuff is still pretty expensive, but there are some deals to be had. All of the Scream Factory stuff is cheaper than amazon has it (and that stuff rarely - if ever - goes on sale here in Canada). They had a few copies of the Halloween 15 disc set out a few days early so I grabbed one of those and cancelled my amazon.ca order. Have it in hand a few days early and ended up saving a few bucks.

Hmv sometimes has shout/scream titles 2 for $25 and then there was the Cineplex black friday and xmas sale, I am not counting the price glitch.

Final price I believe was 99.14 after tax...so about $7 cheaper than amazon, but I'm able to start watching tonight as opposed to the middle of next week or later.

I'd check to make sure they still have it before you cancel anything. I didn't look super hard, but only saw one other copy that wasn't in the hands of myself or someone else.
