Blu Friday, 1st Friday in January - Blu-ray Forum

Who's with me?

From now on I'll celebrate not only Black Friday (after thanksgiving) but also Blu Friday the first Friday in January.

(Come to think of this didn't news break at exactly 4:20?)

Anyway,.. for as many more Blu Fridays as I get I'll buy a WB Blu Ray each and every year in celebration of the day the Format War Ended!

it definetly is a blu friday for me. I got 10 bds in the mail today

i'm on my way home to strip down and rub them all over myself in honor of the warner news. try getting that mental image out of your head.

I'd always commemorated June 15, 1999 as the historic day in home video--DiVX Armistice Day...
And if history of mainstream industries conquering their format-war fears and ramping new DVD titles into production repeats itself, you officially Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet.

Let us now add January 4, 2008 as a temporary commemoration date for now, assuming we get no official surrender from Toshiba/MS.
It's as close to a national V-Blu holiday as we're likely to get.

(Now excuse me, as I've got to go downtown and smooch a nurse. Or maybe that should be a female Best Buy employee.)

Blu Friday it is then! I am drinking champagne and enjoying the ongoing celebration here. This is one hell of a Friday to remember. I started the year with 1 blu-ray and ended 2007 with 75. I only have about 50 DVDs in total, so this collecting movies thing is new to me. But these are just so much better than DVDs, it's totally worth it to me. I've got 12 more BDs on their way.
