Had the first one been released it’d be a day one purchase from me but it still weirds me out having a sequel and not the original. So I’ll grab it when it’s like 12.99

Kinda miffed this gets a 4k but the first doesn't. This would look gorgeous in HDR though.

Wow, didn't even know there was a sequel when I watched the first one three weeks ago, and now it's out. This rock I live under is so comfortable.

The first one needed a new disc if only to fix the purplish-black bars. Very distracting.

Ugh these sequels getting 4k releases are screwing with my ocd organizing my films lol...wanna get the newer format but hate that the previous films are different

Looks like they might be starting to phase out standard Blu-ray discs from 4K releases. It happened recently with that Clint Eastwood movie and Paramount pretty much has been doing that with their recent releases.

They probably won't do that for every new film, just the ones that a certain studio has no interest in putting the standard Blu-ray with it.

From the wording of announcements, it appears that 4K disc will have all the same special features as blu-ray, so we're not really missing out by getting the 4K only version

Really wish the first would get a UHD release. Haven't seen this one, but I have the feeling it's going to be a great looking disc.
