Probably the biggest surprise of the year for me so far. This is definitely a Boxing Day releases for sure.

I loved it, but as a huge Soderbergh fanatic I'm very biased. Funnily enough I find the Ocean's sequels to be some of his weakest efforts, and yet I loved Logan Lucky more than even the first of that trilogy (i.e. his most renowned film) - and as a comedic crime/heist film, I might even prefer it to Out of Sight as well!

Definitely one of the best films so far this year, and one I'd even consider pre-ordering (if the extras seemed worth it). Hope this stirs some interest in Soderbergh in general - I'd especially love a UK edition of Solaris (MoC?), with some decent extras, and maybe even Traffic (Criterion UK? Arrow Video?).

Oh wow, StudioCanal are releasing this on UHD as well as regular Blu-ray: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Logan-Lucky...dp/B075ZK44Q9/

Must admit, I don't have any plans to get a new telly or player in the next year or two, but if I was gonna start 'future proofing' my collection I'd start with titles I love, such as this one. Or Soderbergh in general (though I'd probably also get newly restored sci-fi titles like Terminator 2 and Blade Runner as well).

Pretty cool to see StudioCanal pushing slightly more niche titles on the format though. Obviously a film starring Channing Tatum and Daniel Craig isn't that niche, but this isn't exactly an obvious one for UHD treatment. I wonder if they'll do the same for other recent acquisitions (e.g. Silence, Manchester by the Sea, The Lost City of Z, Free Fire, You Were Never Really Here). Strange though that they neglect to even release other titles on Blu-ray (e.g. Song to Song).

I got my copy from Amazon as it was cheaper on it's own than it was at HMV. It didn't come with a slip, is it supposed to have one? I haven't been in to HMV this week to confirm

I liked this film but not enough to warrant a expensive UHD disc IMO.

I contacted Amazon through help chat and they're sending me out another copy. I'm not sure if I will receive the slipcover as they didn't answer the question. I'll see what I receive in the post
