I was expecting this to get a 4K release, but not for NA. I enjoyed Infinity Pool quite a bit in the theater. Curious if the release will have the theatrical as well. Probably not.

I really dislike these movies getting 4K a few months after the Blu-ray only release. Malignant, Crimes of the Future in recent memory. I am definitely going to get it, it just feels shitty. Be up front and say you have plans for a 4K at launch.

I saw this in theaters and I was wondering what was different with the Uncut version? Is it longer by much?

Hopefully the black level will be improved on this over the current Blu-rays

Amazon has it up too, but lists it as a Blu-ray. Release date is August 29th.

Since the U.S. already has a BD, I expect the Amazon listing to be corrected in the near future to reflect it’s a 4K.

They could probably still justify doing another Blu-ray though, since it's now the uncut disc, plus a Steelbook. Both retailers show completely different info (one being UHD the other Blu-ray) so it's hard to say now which is correct until other retailers put it up, and we get some photos.

If it is 4K, it actually follow's a similar pattern to their release of papa Cronenberg's Crimes of the Future, which got a BD release from Decal in August 2022, and then a 4K in January. So hopefully that is a good sign of how they're working (though a 4K at launch would be better)

And now that it’s happened twice, from now on, ANYTHING that Decal releases I will not be buying from them nor any other studios (like the Elevation release of IP in Canada) when it comes out because it’ll be a given they’re gonna sucker punch us with a surprise 4K release six months later.

I posted a link to the Amazon page above. It does say Blu-ray at the moment, but it's the same UPC as the Target listing. They are shipping to the UK as well.

It’s with Universal for us so it might be worth waiting out for Second Sight or Arrow. A boutique 4K feels inevitable, just a question of who puts it out.

I just went to Target to pre-order this, and it no longer says "uncut" anywhere in the listing, but it does now say "Specifications Movie MPAA Rating: R."

I first went by searching Target, but after I saw it didn't say uncut I returned to this thread to use the direct link, because when I first looked it definitely said uncut, but this is the only listing.

At least it still says "4K UHD."
